Sala Saneha, Bangkok’s new boutique cinema, will show two classics next month: Ridley Scott’s Alien and Stanley Kubrick’s The Shining. October is the month of Halloween, and Alien and The Shining are both among the best horror films ever made.
Alien will be shown on 3rd, 4th, 7th, 10th, 11th, 14th, and 16th October. It was previously screened at Arcadia in 2023, and J.W. Rinzler wrote a comprehensive book on the making of the film.

The Shining will be shown on 2nd, 4th, 8th, 10th, and 11th October. There are two books about the making of The Shining: Danel Olson edited an anthology about the film in 2015, and Rinzler and Lee Unkrich collaborated on a lavish two-volume making-of book in 2023.
