100 Ideas That Changed Advertising

100 Ideas That Changed Advertising

100 Ideas That Changed Advertising, by Simon Veksner, is part of Laurence King’s 100 Ideas That Changed... series. Others include Photography, Film, Architecture, and Graphic Design. Every book in the series follows the same format: 100 chapters, each with a single-page essay and a full-page illustration.

The book includes chapters on aspects of the advertising industry, marketing concepts, and a wide range of advertising formats. It isn’t as authoritative as the other titles in the series, though it’s useful because there are few other general guides to advertising history. (Veksner strikes an appropriate balance between the industry-focused Adland, and the image-based A History Of Advertising.)
