A retrospective of short films by Warat Bureepakdee will be held at Suan Anya in Chiang Mai tomorrow. Warat will take part in a Q&A after the screenings. Crazy Soft Power Love is a satire on the government’s soft power strategy, culminating in a Songkran water fight that escalates into a brawl, intercut with footage from the 6th October 1976 massacre at Thammasat University. With Love and Melody was filmed at commemorations marking the 46th and 47th anniversaries of that event.
