เก้าบทวิจารณ์พรรคคอมมิวนิสต์, a new Thai translation of Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party, has been banned according to an announcement in the Royal Gazette (ราชกิจจานุเบกษา) yesterday (vol. 124, no. 150, p. 45). The book features a series of editorials originally published in The Epoch Times newspaper, and has been banned due to its criticisms of the Chinese Communist Party, as Thailand and China are economic allies. Ironically, dozens of pro-communist books were banned here in the late 1970s and 1980s.
