Anne Kernan’s Cunt Is the Word project began in 2021, when she designed a new image featuring the word ‘cunt’ every day, “using graphic design, photography, photo manipulation and craft.” Last year, Kernan published 102 of those images as a hand-numbered art book in an edition of 100 copies. (Some people may remember that I wrote an extensive cultural history of the c-word, which was online for many years though has been temporarily removed as it was copied without permission.)
