The World Class Cinema (ทึ่ง! หนังโลก) season will return this year with a fantastic lineup of Hollywood classics. The first screening of the new season will be Cleopatra, on 14th January. Francis Ford Coppola’s The Godfather, starring Marlon Brando, will be screened on 11th February; its sequel, The Godfather II, is on 18th February. Coppola’s Apocalypse Now is on 13th May. Stanley Donen’s Singin’ in the Rain, acclaimed as the greatest musical ever made, will be shown on 11th March. On 8th April, it’s the Walt Disney classic Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs. The epic Ben-Hur: A Tale of the Christ is on 17th June, followed by Martin Scorsese’s masterpiece, Taxi Driver, on 15th July. Casablanca, one of the greatest Hollywood films ever made, will be shown on 25th November. All screenings will be at Bangkok’s Scala cinema.
