Imagine Peace

Imagine Peace
Imagine Peace
Imagine Peace: Contemporary Art In Thailand In The Age Of Disorder is a multi-media exhibition at BACC to promote social harmony and political reconciliation following the recent violence in Bangkok. (The song เราเป็นคนไทย has similar objectives.) Marina Abramovich is one of the few non-Thai artists to be represented; she has contributed a photographic self-portrait, and she was also part of the Traces Of Siamese Smile exhibition at BACC.

Kongsak Gulglangdon has hung an empty picture-frame on the wall, a piece which reminded me of the excellent group exhibition Nothing at Warwick Arts Centre (UK) in 2002. Imagine Peace opened on 25th June, and will close on 22nd August.
