Francis Bacon's triptych Two Figures Lying On A Bed With Attendants, painted in 1968, was censored from the Modern Art Movement exhibition at the Tehran Museum of Modern Art last month. Members of the Basij militia removed the middle panel of the triptych on the exhibition's opening day, 29th August.

The painting had been in storage at the Museum for over thirty years. It was, however, briefly loaned to Tate Britain in London for an exhibition last year.
